Steve Anderson wins at Teal Bend

A new venue for Sacramento amputees, Teal Bend is only a few miles from the airport along the Sacramento River. It is a fairly flat course on wooded terrain. Steve Anderson, Ventura Callifornia, won low gross at 164. Ross Martin, Sacramento, took low net by just a stroke at 142.

Amputees from Arizona, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon attended, along with California locals and guests. Unseasonable wet weather and cool temps caused about half the field to withdraw or cancel due to the weather. Sixteen players braved rain all day to play Saturday. Sunday proved to be better weather-wise, cool and cloudy but no rain, affording better conditions for twenty players. Below are the scores and results.
