10th Sacramento Amputee Golf Tournament
June 26,27, 2010

Ryan Garrity wins by just 3 strokes

The first year this event was held in 1999, was at Mather GC. We have again arranged to come back to Mather for the 10th anniversary. With just 28 players, there was just two flights, amputees and normies.
Ryan Garrity, of Walnut Creek, California, played to a 18 handicap and posted 8 under par 136 to win low net honors. Ryan said "this was the best I've ever played!" Congratulations to Ryan.
Bill Harding, of Phoenix, Arizona, won Low Gross honors with two rounds under 80 - 76,77. Michael Smith, of Stockton, California was just behind by 5 strokes.

Cheryl Clark, a doulbe leg amputee from Los Angeles, took the Women's top spot. Sue Loeb had to cancel due to a wrist injury.

In order to attract more players, we decided to combine this WAGA event with our local amputee group, ACTT. ACTT normie regulars played with the amputees Saturday for a combined ACTT/WAGA event. All of the amputees continued Sunday for the WAGA competition.

Thanks for the support of our ten normie friends who joined in the competition with the amputees. Jim Fuoti, of Orangevale, California, posted a 77 Sunday for first place honors in our guest flight.
