Scott Fickenscher Wins Again at Cave Creek

playing group at Cave CreekWAGA came through in a big way in Phoenix . We had almost 80 players for our third annual amputee golf tournament.

We spread our wings from Ohio , Wisconsin , Oklahoma , Canada , Washington , Oregon , California , Nevada , Utah and Arizona with over 30 veterans and a third from out of state…pretty cool. The weather was in the 80's for a 2-day short gun start. Our local men's club assisted with registration, getting the players to their carts and to the driving range. My son, granddaughter and grandson also contributed to the success of the tournament. I know you have heard this many times but the men's club and pro shop continue to be amazed at the great and positive attitude and how good the arm amps are especially theScott Fichenscher doubles and unassisted amps…not taking anything away from anyone else. Another big thing is how well we respect the golf course and takes care to follow the rules of golf including drop areas, sand traps, etc.

This is a great WAGA lead off tournament for the season. The camaraderie was astonishing. If you missed our golf tournament you missed a great time. scores

This year we had enough ladies enter for a ladies division including two first timers to our tournament. Sheryl Clark, double AK/BK , beat Marcia Rogers, BK from Wisconsin, in a score card playoff.
