Don Bigler, who passed way last year just before the National Championship, was WAGA Player of the Year. An award plaque was created in his honor, and sent to his widow, Billie Bigler. The following is a copy of the letter sent to WAGA recently is response.

What a wonderful surprise when the Fed Ex delivery arrived this morning. We, Don's family, are honored to accept the "2011 Player of the Year" Award in his name.  This award will be treasured.
Don would have been emotionally overwhelmed and honored. Yes, Don was very emotional, but gave a gruff exterior. He cared and was dedicated to amputee golf. He always said 'it gave him so much'.
An aside, I took a picture of the Award and letter then shared with the family, literally around the world. The first response received was from Lauren, our granddaughter attending college in MO, was 'WOW!". Enough said!
